PayPal not cancelling check
I asked for a check from my account since Paypal can’t load my Walmart debit card. They wrote the check out to a small net business that I have as the payee. I can’t cash the check locally unless my name is also on the check.
I asked for help on the phone and was told there was no problem. The staff were polite and helpful and positive, even upbeat. However, the next day I received an email requesting the check be sent to the return address which was on the check, and so I did. I then sent an email and was told “yes the check would be cancelled and the money returned to my account”, and PayPal suggested some possible changes to my account to prevent future problems.
That was July 20, 2011. Today is August 2.
I’m no longer optimistic about getting my money back.

Pay pal customer service is poorly trained. Grossly unable to handle simple loggin problems. Reminds me of Discover Card TV ads where customer service is a Russian guy in Siberia claiming he is “Peggy”.
Solution is easy. Stay away from Pay Pal.
