Unexpected language switch

When ordering with my HSBC credit card which is registered in Hong Kong, after inputting my number and the security code, the language interface changed to Chinese, which I don’t read. There was no option for switching language. Having put in my security code, I panicked and clicked the page shut, and contemplated whether I should cancel my card. After all, I had NO idea what this page said. The transaction seems to have gone through anyway, indicating that Paypal added nothing to the process. I complained to Paypal and got a response in Chinese, so I have no idea what that says either. Shocking. This “service” should be outlawed.
