Unethical charges and techniques
I had a complaint about Paypal having unauthorized access to my checking account without sending me prior notice.
They deducted a refund $301.57 out of my checking account for a .30 fee they charged for my refunding money to a buyer. When I had them correct the issue, the next time I had a sale I was told that they only transfer $500 per month and I could only transfer $198 to my account for the second sale! I complained and they said to reverse the limit they needed to verify my credit card (why, I can’t figure) and I would see a $1.95 charge on my CC balance that I needed to go back into Paypal and enter a code to get the $1.95 credited again. Does that sound crazy to you?
Their tactic is that you won’t bother for such a small amount, and they get the windfall profit! I have been in business for over 40 years and have observed banking and financial institutions use this kind of tactic all the time. It is Unethical! And ebay should proactively curtail the practices of their business partner. Ebay is a financial partner of PayPal with an associated conflict of interest when it comes to protecting their clients!

I just bought an antique wall phone. The phone doesnt weigh that much and they are charging me $90.I have bought items that weigh alot more and were alot bigger than the phone from the same state like near 80lbs.It just seems like somethings wrong here.

I sell recipes not to get rich and when I realized paypal took it all I had to wonder what sort of business steals pennies? many of my auctions sell for 25 to 30 cents and paypal thinks it’s okay to charge 30 cents plus 2.9% so that means they took it all…. I spoke to another seller selling the same thing and no such fees were taking from them, so because I have a premier account and they have a personal it is okay to screw me? The one with a better account. Who takes a 100% of there customers transaction fee and thinks a person can continue to sell and make them some money? You just put people out of business hello………….. Just a bunch of crooks.
