Unauthorized PayPal Charges To Bank Account

I receieved two large charges from PayPal on my checking account from my old debit card. I contacted PayPal and they said that they would not be able to find these charges without the whole card number, which I did not have anymore.

According to them the charges were unbeknown to them, and the last four numbers of the debit card (the only numbers I had from the card) did not pull up any charges. I don’t have a PayPal account, nor have I made any purchases through either PayPal or ebay.

I gave them the authorization codes for the charges, which PayPal said revealed nothing. I also gave them the name of the merchant, this too revealed nothing.

I have since reported PayPal to the attorney generals of CA and NE. I hope they get shut down!
