Sold phone “AS-IS” And Have To Refund
I sold my Blackberry online, listed “as-is” and “in need of screen repair”. It sold for 56 bucks and was a fully working phone. long story short, the buyer recieves the phone and wants a refund or to exchange it because he claims the sound dosnt work. It worked perfect when in my possesion!
So he writes me a one sentance email stating “you wouldnt respond so i filed a complaint”. WHAT! I couldnt believe this guy, so i logged into Paypal and responded and he still gave one sentance responses all about wanting his money back. It went from $56 to $30 for the repair, and I told him that I will not pay for a repair for something that he probably broke. I offered to pay for the part at 6 bucks, and he said no. When I asked him if anything happend to it while he had it he wouldnt answer me.
So, Paypal freezes my money and sides with him! He admited to tampering with the phone, but hey thats fine in their eyes. They claim the phone is coming back to me- I just wonder in how many pieces.
Paypal is unfair. I provided 8 pages of detailed evidence, none of which even mattered to them. The buyer always wins with Paypal, so i have read, and its true! As sellers we have no rights!
