Rude PayPal Manager Ty
I bought a phone on ebay paid though Paypal on 25 March. Then I got a note from local post office to collect my item. I went to the post office and the item was a flat envelope, with a weight of only 31 grams. I thought for sure this is not the item I bought, so I refused to collect the item and took photos with the tracking No. and the post officer recorded the item to be “returned to sender”. The Post officer also provided me with a document to prove that item has been returned, this document also included the tracking number, receiver’s name and address, etc.
I contact Paypal call centre on 18/04/2011 between 6-7pm. The staff let me listen to the music twice, first time 12 mins, second time 15 mins. The call centre manager named Ty, said I have to provide the shipping number. But because I refused to collect the item, and I won’t have the shipping number so I can’t get my money back, it is PayPal policy.
I wonder if the policy against the Common Law, against the equality, which one come first. I asked if i could talk to another manager, and she said she is the top level over the whole australia call centre, and that there was no one else above her. While she was talking, I heard people laughing very loud around her. When I asked if I could contact another call centre to resolve this issue, Ty said I might get lucky and someone else would answer the phone, but that she will personally make sure that I do not get my money back.
Ty’s communication skills were very unprofessional, and she treated me very unfair. Now I’m not afraid to go further, just ask for fair. PayPal documentation attached below.
Thanks
