Ripped Off By Ebay Seller- PayPal Was No Help

I am a South African who purchased some items from Ebay. After payment was received the seller contacted me and advised me that the products had been shipped. After not receiving the products after one month, I emailed the seller once again he advised that the products had been sent and that it didn’t have a tracking number and that i should be patient.The customs process in our country in relatively slow, so i though that i just wait a little while longer.

Oon my 3rd attempt at contacted the seller he didn’t respond so i waited a couple of days and still nothing, so i logged a dispute with PayPal, and they closed my case on the very same day saying that the it didn’t meet the guidelines. Upon sending 2 emails to PayPal they responded saying that they could not help me out as i didnt open a dispute withing the 45 day limit, which i was only 5 days late, if they are an international trading company they should at least have a bigger window period to assist their customers and not just disregard them and now i find that the seller is no longer registered with E-bay and that hes items are no longer there. I even contacted Ebay and no response from them, all their rules say contact the seller. I have been ripped off both by E-bay and Paypal, and i just urge anyone to think twice before doing business with them, as they are unable to assist with queries.
