Returned Buyer money before package arrived

I mailed a package to a Buyer and forgot to buy delivery confirmation. Always get delivery confirmation, and if $250.00 or more-get a signature! The buyer filed a non-receipt of item complaint 3 days after I mailed the package. The order form gave a window of when the package should be delivered. The buyer filed the complaint before I had to have it to him. PAYPAL quickly refunded his money.

I know what happened, when he got the package he saw I had no delivery confirmation on it and quickly filed the dispute. PAYPAL didn’t even give the Post Office fair time to deliver it. They should have at least waited a week, even though this guy was going to rip me off anyway.

Lesson Learned: If you mail something w/o a delivery receipt, dishonest people will claim they didn’t get it.
