PayPal refuses to update confirmed address
Paypal retained my prior address as being confirmed, even after i updated it. Then when I ordered from a company, and gave the company my real address, PayPal changed the shipping to my old outdated address. I never received the item. Then when I tried to delete my old address, the Paypal system wouldn’t allow me to delete it, “saying I could not delete a confirmed address.”
I called customer service, and informed them that my address was incorrect, and was told I would have to edit my cc info in order to change it. This also didn’t work, as I kept getting messages stating my info was denied, after over an hour on the phone, the customer service rep says there is no way I could change or have my info changed in regards to my prior supposed “confirmed” address, because at this time I have a $0 balance on my credit card. Here I inform them that my “confirmed” address is not valid, and they refuse to change it, or delete it, all because I don’t currently have funds available on my cc. They refused to delete my wrong address outright, then they refused to delete my cc info.
I had to call my bank, and report my cc as compromised. My bank immediately canceled my card, and issued a new one with different account info (this is what I expect, when I tell them my account info is wrong, but when I tell paypal, my account info is wrong and I tell them flat out, they are not henceforth on to keep, or relate any info on my old addy, they refuse to delete it.
I have to demand Paypal put a flag on my account, since they refuse to close my account , saying that in order to close it, I have to give up on my open claim for the never received product. Talk about extortion.
Then to top it off, after I close my credit card, with my bank, when I go to log into paypal I am prompted for my old, Canceled (by me, and my bank) credit card number, and when I input this NON WORKING< NON VALID cc number, into it, I am allowed into my PayPal account.
Security, what security, i inform Paypal, my info is wrong, and they refuse to correct it, “saying their system wont allow them to” then when I demand they put a flag on my account, they still let me into it using a canceled credit card number to gain access to my account.
I will never do any business with either Paypal itself nor with ANY company that has PayPal as an option of payment. From now on as soon as I see a PayPal logo on a company’s website I will leave and refuse to do business with them at all.
