PayPal’s customer service is bad
I have 2 PayPal accounts both linked to my CIBC bank but to completely different bank accounts.Recently PayPal informed me that they limited account #1. After several emails to them I finally figured out that all I was getting was an automated reply that kept sending me different replies and no specific answers. Next step was to call Paypal only to be told by some kucklehead that my account was limited because it was linked to some other account that was in arrears.This person refused to provide me with more information on how to resolve this issue. I then called them back and got a another PP agent who was a little more helpfull. This person told me the email address of the account that was in arrears was linked to my account #1.They told me that the account was in arrears for over $1000.00 US. I then checked all my PP transactions over the past several years but could find no association with the email address that was told to me.I then called PP and told them that I had no idea and no transactions with the account that was in arrears. This PP agent told me that there was no record of such information and would go no farther than to tell me that the only way that I could persue this issue would have to be done with a Subpoena. Please keep in mind that I do not use PayPal for any large transactions(nothing above $50.00) and I always keep the PP account in the black by a couple of dollars. I do not have a credit card attached to either pp account because I refuse to put my credit card information on the internet. I decided that do to the fact that I use my PP account so sparingly there no way that I would persue this issue any farther. Instead I would use PayPal account #2. This #2 account had never been used before and has always had a balance of a few dollars. So I funded the the account #2 for $10.00. The reason I need the PP service was to make monthly $9.00 payments to HostGator for my webpage. I funded the account twice more and made my HostGator payments. Last week I logged into my PP account #2 and BOOM the message appeared your account has been limited. Now after several emails to PP I got the following reply this morning

We need your help resolving an issue with your account. To give us time to
work together on this, we’ve temporarily limited what you can do with your
account until the issue is resolved.
We understand it may be frustrating not to have full access to your PayPal
account. We want to work with you to get your account back to normal as
quickly as possible.
What’s the problem?
Your account is linked to a PayPal account that has outstanding issues.
Please resolve the issues with the other account.
