Paypal won’t let you ship to an address that is not your own

Paypal is evil. I just tried to complete a transaction on Etsy. Paypal sent me into an endless loop and I entered the same information (address, card info) 5 times. Eventually I figured out that Paypal won’t let you ship to an address that is not your own. Marvelous for gift-giving. I love you Etsy, but Amazon has figured out I might like to purchase something on the internet for someone other than myself… When can we be rid of Paypal forever?
