Paypal thinks my credit card is expired.
When my card was about to expire, my card company issued me a replacement card with the same number and a new expiry date. I didn’t update paypal’s records immediately. When I got around to try updating it, paypal had removed the card from my account and will not let me re-add it. They offer a few ways to work around the problem. One suggestion was opening a new paypal account (are you allowed to have two?), and the other was contacting my card provider and asking for a different number (what happens to all the other things that are already using that number?) All their solutions are things I should do, nothing to fix their records. The simple solution of making paypal’s records match the physical reality of the real world does not seem to be a concept they can grasp.
