PayPal Smart Connect Fraud

I was granted a smart connect card I was told in an email to go use it, but when I checked my account there was no listing of it! Then to top it off a Pay Pal rep told me to go to Ebay and purchase something, and the card would automatically pay when I signed into my account. But it didn’t, I had to pay with another visa I have.

I own my own company, and in my opinion these people are disorganized and GE Money needs to drop them. I even had a credit rep I was speaking to hang up on me, which infuriated me. If I trace who it was I’ll have him investigated in depth FEDERALLY.

I will be contacting the BBB and the Attorney General, also the Federal Consumer Affairs to investigate these people for fraud. BEWARE they also spread your info to third parties.

Pay Pal Smart Card is a joke. I also feel the IRS needs to investigate these people. I have never been so disgusted in my whole life, these people are rude and should not be in business- don’t be a victim say no to Pay Pal and Ebay. They are crooks!

I made a purchase through Paypal which was connected to my bank checking account. Then I started getting all these SmartConnect emails and deleted them daily. Then I noticed later, one was a statement saying I owed money. Paypal had fraudulently signed me up for SmartConnect without my permission, or concealed or not reasonably noticable signup on one of the many pages you click through when making a standard purchase. You figure if only 90% of the people that Paypal fraudulently signs up complain, that’s still 10% new customers for this SmartConnect. I called and screamed at SmartConnect until they cancelled that account and removed it entirely from existence.
