Paypal siding with buyer…again!
Copy of the complaint I sent to Paypal
I sold a watch on ebay and the buyer complained saying that the inset timer hand was slighty off zero when reset, this was as shown in the picture and ebay/paypal sided with the buyer. I disputed this with no luck. The decision was made to return the watch to me upon which I would repay the £102.
I have still to date not received the watch despite being constantly chased by paypal collections for the £102. I am refusing to pay this amount as I have not received the watch. Upon contacting your call centre on numerous occasions I have been told that he provided proof of posting (not ‘signed for’) as this was the process for Australia for items less than £150. This does not help me in any way, I sent the watch to him using a “signed for” service, as Paypal did not stipulate this to him for returning the watch. He has received a refund from Paypal and potentialy still has the watch and I have nothing and am being chased by your collections department. I am requesting that you either provide proof that I have received the watch back (which is impossible!) or please clear my account balance back to zero. If this isn’t done I will be taking legal advice from my lawyers at work.
Many thanks

I think their collections department is a joke. According to them I owed $51.75 which I adamantly denied being in debt to them. Their “collections” team harrased me day and night but when I pulled my credit report prior to purchasing my second home nothing showed.
