PayPal seller guilty until proven innocent
I had 2 charge-backs on my paypal account, both of which I provided necessary tracking info and other evidence showing that I was in the right. I waited several days after providing this evidence before calling PayPal to see why they were still holding my money.
They lady at PayPal by her tone apparently had already decided that I was the guilty party, spattering off a very rehearsed, generic statement to the effect of “it could take up to 75 days to see your money back in your account”. I asked her to actually take a look at my account and see what evidence I had provided, and after doing so she completely changed her tone. She said that the evidence I provided should be presented to the credit card company that the chargeback is coming from, and my question to her was “why has it not yet been presented to them?”
The next day, one of the chargebacks was decided in my favor and the money was released. I am still waiting on the second one to be released, even though the buyer has already told their credit card company that it was a mistake on the buyers part because they did not recognize the transaction.
PayPal was just sitting on my account, not considering me at all until I called them. And when I called them at first, they immediately decided that I was the guilty party… PayPal SUCKS. Use someone else, tell them to take a running jump unless you want to play their silly games.
