PayPal Takes No Responsibility For Fraud
I was informed on a Friday that someone fraudulently accessed my account, and purchased items using my checking account. I called PayPal immediately after receiving a notice that the transaction was on hold due to suspicious activity. I was assured no further action would take place, and I would not be responsible for the transaction.
Monday, I awake to find $870 removed from my checking account which was linked to my PayPal account. PayPal refused to reverse the withdrawl, causing me to scramble to get funds together to cover my outstanding checks. They still have my money and I still haven’t gotten it refunded to my account, even after calling the corporate office.
Oh and by the way, forget about trying to find the corporate office phone number for PayPal. It’s not listed! Obviously, they don’t want to deal with the very people who made them all rich — the customers!!! So here is the corporate info, which I wasted half a day tracking down.

And regarding the criminal, I was told by Vanessa that my case is simply too small to be considered important by the FBI. PayPal would not assist me in prosecuting the individual who stole MY money and broke into MY account. I have no access to the information THEY have. So another criminal gets off. Thanks, PayPal.

I was just taken for $300 by a Seller. I purchased items and they were never sent to me. The seller kept putting me off saying he had a car accident and wanted me to give him time to send it. He sent me emails giving me his updates. I gave him about 48 days and paypal did nothing but give me the run around when I turned it in. I have found out paypal is useless. I have a better chance of mailing them a check than i do using paypal. I cancaled my account and would never use them again. I would never trust a company with any of my stuff that can not stop fraud. I put this on here as a warning to others.

Here is the email i received a few days after putting in my case for fraud when I did not receive the items. The seller put me off by telling me he had a car accident and asked me to work with him. I sent all the emails to paypal after them going back and fourth on whether they wanted them to look at. They sent me this email a day after I put in a dispute claim. I called to tell them i did not work it out with the seller and he would not even email me back. They told me they dropped the case as if i worked it out with the seller. Paypal is usless to trust your money with.
