PayPal refuses to take responsibility for poor advice
Complaint:
I have been using paypal for a while now and never had any issues until now. I use a bank account to have paypal withdraw funds from whenever I make a purchase. I was given some bad advice by one of paypal’s customer service reps which caused an overdue balance previously paid to be added to another purchase. This caused 2 nsf charges on my bank account being a total of $80.00.
When I called I spoke to Ann, a supervisor, Id # 41026, who basically told me that paypal can do nothing about the problem. The way I see it, I was given some bad advice by paypal in regards to an overdue balance and paypal chooses to do nothing about it or take any responsibility for any of it. There was no compromising or meeting half way even. Ann’s tone on the phone seemed one of not caring for my situation even though she spoke the words “I’m sorry but there’s nothing I can do” it seemed a bit rehearsed.
Folks this is just bad business and unless someone there makes good I won’t be back.
