Paypal rejected my purchase by credit card

I have a paypal account. I have NEVER had a problem with it. I purchased an item from a seller on eBay who accepts paypal with credit cards. I purchase the item, tried to pay and Paypal rejected the payment. They ADMIT that my account is good, the card is good and there was no problem. They could not tell me when this precaution would kick in or give any other reason. They said it was a security precaution and rejected the payment. Now I have to pay for something for Christmas by echeck which would not be a problem if I could wait all those days for the payment to clear. So I will NOT ever use paypal again if I can avoid it and I CAN!!!!!!
