PayPal refunds buyer before merchandise is returned
I had a dispute with an individual in Italy after a package that was well packed was damaged. The person put a complaint into PayPal and they froze the money for the item in my account.
The case went from December to February, and in the end PayPal sided with the buyer. They said once the item was shipped back to me and received, they would refund the buyer within 10 days.
However, the very next day PayPal give him all the money back, and I have yet to receive the package back from the buyer. I figure this is nothing but a BIG scam and that I’ll never see my item again, and the buyer will be using it for free.
I went to the PayPal site and there is no way for me to appeal the case. PayPal should have kept the funds from the buyer until the item was safe in the USA. What a racket!
I’d like to actually talk to a real person at PayPal and give them a good piece of my mind. This is NO way to do business!

Thats how Paypal operates. They’ve done it to me twice. This is why Ebay and Paypal are about 80% buyer frauds now. Thats right 80%. With Credit Cards, VISA for instance will only aow X number of chargebacks from a single person. THey use logic that if a person has lots of disputes its likely the person being a scammer. Paypal will give the same person refunds all year long. Scammers around the world are on to it. I knew a lowlife in Vancouver that did this dozens of times. He bought all sorts of big ticket items and got refunds everytime. Never kicked off paypal. He wouldnt return things either. Half time paypal just refunded him on the sopt. The other half he’d send a box of rocks or an empty envelope. Becuase he had a tracking number Paypal sided with him. Didnt matter if the original item was 20 lbs and his returned item was 20g. Paypal could see that in tracking but do not care. This uy likely ended up in jail for other things but not for his Paypal scams. Paypal helped him out with those bigtime.
