PayPal Protecting Fraudulent Ebay Seller
I bought an item on Ebay, and paid for it using PayPal. Apparently Ebay or the seller withdrew the item while I was in the process of paying for it. Therefore, there is no record of my actually purchasing the item on Ebay, but the PayPal payment has already been made.
After being unable to contact the seller, I raised a PayPal dispute. I had never done this before, and apparently I failed to escalate the dispute correctly. So PayPal just says Case Closed.
So the seller is hiding behind anonimity that PayPal insists on for the “sellers protection”. So I am unable to get real world details of the seller in order to pursue the matter in court!
I am reconsidering the advantages of using PayPal.
