PayPal Wants Proof I Owned The Item I Sold
I recently sold an item on eBay for $700 because I need the money to pay my bills. The buyer promptly paid for the item, and I promptly mailed the package. However, when I tried to withdraw the money from PayPal into my checking account, they immediately put my account on limited status.
I need my money to pay my rent! Paypal said I would have to provide the buyer with a tracking number (which I did) and wait until they received the item. And now they are saying that they want proof that the item I sold was an item I actually owned! They want a receipt! I told them that I had bought the item off from someone on ebay, and they told me that they will have to contact the person I bought it from for verification. They have not been able to reach this person! Now, it’s the 1st of the month and I have no money to pay my rent!
