Paypal Is Sending Me To Collections

I sold a product and used pay pal to protect me from getting ripped off [ payed them a fee for there service ] i got my payment and went on with life a month and a half later or so the person who purchased my product reversed there payment to pay pal [they payed with a american express card] and now pay pal wants me to pay them back and are sending me to collections. the idem i sold was not a cheep idem it was a 4500.00 dollar idem.
I think pay pal should be looking at the person who reversed his payment and stole from pay pal or everybody should get a american express card and buy things through pay pal and get them for free.
