PayPal is holding 30% of gift money from my parents to feed my kids

I have already sent two e-mails to the heads of both Paypal and eBay regarding this matter (jdonahoe@ebay.com and sthompson@paypal.com). Due to the fact that neither has responded to me, I reported PayPal to the Federal Trade Commission yesterday for theft and fraud.

My next step will be to report PayPal to the Better Business Bureau if I do not get a satisfactory reply on Monday September 26, 2011. Following that, unless I get full access to the gift money my parents deposited into my PayPal account, and without retribution from PayPal and eBay, I will be contacting CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, FOXNews, the Washington Post, the New York Times, and the Seattle Times just to begin with. I will also contact my State Attorney General.

My parents deposited $1000 into my PayPal account one week ago to help us with our finances and to buy food for our four children because we have been without for some time. Because my PayPal account was a new Merchant account and because my parents funded their gift with a credit card, Paypal refuses to release the 30% they are holding for 90 days. I have since changed back to a regular PayPal account but Paypal still will not release the 30%. I have explained the situation several times to PayPal employees. I spok to two customer service agents, one a manager. The manager told me that “PayPal chooses not to” give me my gift/food money for my children. “PayPal chooses not to”. As I have explained to Mr. Donahoe and Mr. Thompson in my e-mails following my telephone communication with the customer service agents, 90 days will be too late. It has been one week already.

I am very angry with PayPal for their lack of respect for me and my family. My children have been going to school without breakfast, have only a yogurt or a peanut butter sandwich for lunch and whatever we can scrounge together for some semblance of a dinner. In essence, they are still hungry. Because of my complaints, PayPal is aware of this and yet is deliberately preventing them from having a decent meal every day.

I am a very tenacious person if I am challenged, but especially if me or mine is suffering – We are and PayPal is the cause.
