Paypal Intransigence
I have a PayPal account in Singapore. They wrote to me stating that because of the amount the transactions on my account had reached a certain amount they needed further verification of my ID and address.
I send the documents a format that was listed as acceptable (PDF). PayPal have written back stating that the documents are illegible and that I should submit them in jpg format. I don’t want to as I consider jpg to be far less secure than pdf.
Besides, the documents I have submitted are perfectly legible. I can view them on my computer. I’ve sent them in various sizes but PayPal still refuse to accept them and now are just ignoring me.
The problem is, they are holding around US$450 in my account and say because the account is restricted the money cannot be transferred to my credit card and the account cannot be closed.
I feel as though PayPal are unreasonably withholding my money but I’m powerless to do anything to have it released.
