PayPal funds transfers blocked for my account
I received an email from paypal that informed me that i would be restricted from transferring any money from my account for 3 weeks, but that in the event of my selling an item on ebay i was required to send the goods off immediatly. As I have never had a complaint from a customer and have a 100% rating I queried the restriction and was told they would not tell me unless I obtained a sopena.
I did use PayPal to transfer $800.00 from my brother in the UK to my bank. This was part of a legacy and i needed the cash to enable my wife and i to attend my sons wedding in UK. It appears that this upset PayPal, and add to that the fact that I also refused to give them open access to my bank- seems to be the reason for their action.
I immediately closed my account and urge all other ebay users to do the same. This company is owned and operated by Ebay and act as close as they can to committing theft without actually crossing the line.
Also, I urge users to change Email and account passwords to prevent access by PayPal/Ebay. Looking at the avalanche of complaints this company generates I am amazed they are still in business.

You think you have troubles with them? I am deaf and must wait 72 hours to find out why they refuse to let me use my debit card on file as my payment method. I know for a fact the small amount of money is in my account times ten and yet I have tried twice only to receive a cryptic message that they aren’t moving ahead. It’s a one of a kind item and a price I can afford and it’s on BuyItNow so in 72 hours it will be a moot question most likely because the item will be gone.
Who in the government is in charge of them and why are they not required to conform to the sloppy banking rules that are in place. I really am at my wits end and if the sellers insist on that form of payment, they are encouraging PayPal to ride roughshod over both buyers and sellers.
Is this another gift from Barney Frank I wonder.
