Paypal double charged me so I canceled my account

I purchased an item for $19.41 through BUY-IT-NOW PayPal. My bank statement showed two withdrawals for this amount, two days apart. My PayPal account only showed one. Soooooooo, I spent a helluva lot of time talking to CSR people on 3 separate occasions who offered no help whatsoever. I requested my bank cancel the second charge. Paypal then charged the duplicate amount to my backup credit card. Result – still charged twice for the same thing. Bottom line – I cancelled my account – I’m done with PayPal…forever.
