PayPal Instant Payment Option blocked
I received an email from Netflix today telling me that my payment for my subscription was rejected by PayPal. After contacting Paypal the first representative said the Instant Payment option was disabled due to too many rejected credit card payments. I pointed out that I have never used a credit card payment through PayPal - after her clearly not knowing what the answer is I asked for a supervisor and got placed on hold for 20 minutes.
So I hung up and called back, asked for a “supervisor” right away this time, and got one. This time he tells me its due to a security restriction because there was a change in my spending pattern, and it actually had nothing to do with my credit card. I advised him that there were no problems with these transactions through PayPal, and requested the restriction be lifted. I was then told that this was not possible, escalated again, and given existentially the same answer.
Basicly, they stopped the feature because I used the feature to buy a game earlier this month. Crazy.
