Got scammed by German buyer

I sold 8 computers to a guy in Germany When they arrived he said one had a crack so wanted me to give him 20% off total I disagreed.
So he got his bank to get his money back from paypal and paypal took $6000 off me never to be seen again. Lost my ebay account and paypal 8 years later still owe $2000.
There is absolutely no protection for sellers using paypal and ebay.
