Credit Card Debited 17 Times By PayPal
I’ve used paypal for years. This was my first real problem, but it was a doozie.
My credit card was debited through paypal 17 times in 2 minutes by the same company. All debits I had not authorized.
Went crazy listening to those **** recordings for 10 min while trying to find a human at paypal. Those recordings have NEVER solved my problems on any site. Great for balance and last debit but doesn’t work for real problems.
Agent I finally found was exceptional. Very polite in the face of my tantrum and I thought the problem was fixed. She said the problem was fixed. However, next day I found out that they had shut down an “isoldit” ebay lister I use often. Put them out of business for two days, and also was investigating Walmart in the fraud. I wonder if they shut them down, too?
Finally, after two days, they fixed all the problems, reinstated my friend at ebay, and as far as I can tell, allowed walmart to stay open.
Now the ultimate frustration. They sent me one of those wonderful “no-reply” emails telling me my account had been limited and I should sign on to my account and talk to their fraud unit. PROBLEM WAS, THE LIMITATION WAS TO FREEZE MY PASSWORD. I COULDN’T SIGN ON TO FIX THE PROBLEM OR EVEN FIND A **** PHONE NUMBER LET ALONE THEIR FRAUD UNIT.
Problem was finally fixed and I have been credited. Have to wait for a paper bill to see if it’s actually fixed. So much grief to two innocent companies and myself from what I assume was a clerical error.

It is amazing that they can baiscally debit your credit card 17 times and then give YOU the run around. Hopefully when you receive your statement it will be settled.
