I purchased from an ebay seller three Rowe furniture covers for my sofa and two side chairs. The ebay seller had a rating of over 300 with 100% satisfaction. The seller stated in their description that the shipment would take up to 35 business days to ship. I purchased a memory card via eBay using Paypal. It turns out that the memory card was fake (which apparently is an ongoing eBay scheme). After receiving in writing from the seller that the item was indeed fake, I filed a complaint with Paypal. On the 9th of March 2010 money came out of my bank account from PayPal (29.99) but was not paid to the group that was supposed to receive it. Where is that money? I was also charged an overdrawn fee from the bank as I did not know the money would be coming out. Read more of this article »

On March 25th I sold an audio system on eBay with payment handled via PayPal. The amount was to the tune of $330 which was being held until the item was delivered.
