Can not pay bills because of hold
My wife and I sold some items in order to buy food and pay our bills since she has been out of work and I’m on disability! The item sells and then I find PayPal did not want to pay us. Then they asked me for a copy of my bank statement, drivers license, a copy of a bill, etc. I provided that to them. But that was just to keep my account from being frozen.
They also did not allow us to have a PayPal debit card even thou I had one before.
So I have to wait 3 or more days to get my money from my PayPal account to my back account. Meanwhile we are in dire trouble even thou we have a PayPal balance of $300.00 we can’t spend any of it on food or bills.
PayPal treats me like this after I have had an account with eBay and PayPal for 10 years with No negative feedback ever! I’ve done nothing to ever indicate to PayPal or eBay that I have defrauded anyone. I have even kept the same bank account for 12 years. PayPal has no reason to flag me. Evidently they just treat everyone like this and make them wait for there payment for days or even weeks.
Then they have the nerve to send me a letter saying congratulations I’ve been a member for 10 years and thanking me. Even signed by the president of PayPal ! There slogan is false advertising. Very few sellers love PayPal and a lot of us hate them!! They are out of control now. No one is regulating them and they do what ever they want even if its against the law.
PayPal is just awful! I have never dealt with a company this large and this corrupt and unresponsive to there customers. I just keep hearing terrible stories about them over and over again. But I need to sell on eBay so I feel stuck with these people.

I am one of the many sellers that hates paypal with a passion. There is no protection for us sellers. We just have to hope we get lucky with a good buyer not trying to scam us and then cross our fingers hoping paypal won’t scam us.
I can’t go to SevenEleven and buy some chips and soda without the store getting their money right away. They don’t hold my money for 21 just in case I don’t like my chips.
You bring up a great point when you said no one regualtes pay pal. They need to have someone looking out for the intrest of the sellers as well. Many physical processors follow all bank regulations. I have had a terrible time with pay pal and fell a bit better knowing I am not the only one in a battle with them!!!!
