buyer done a chargeback
i sold a lipsy dress on ebay,sent all the info to the buyer, a few months later had an email from from paypal stating that the buyer had a done a chargeback because of unauthorised use of creditcard,so i logged a dispute against the chargeback tried to send them all the info they needed,the upload software on their site wasn’t working prorperly so in the end had to fax info twice,which they said they didn’t recieve,ask them if i could send info again they so no because i was out of time,just had an email to say the chargeback is in favour of the buyer….which i am so mad about,not only i lost a £70 dress,plus now their is creditcard charges on top…i am refusing to pay the negative balance on my paypal account as it’s not my fault,it was fraud,and paypal didn’t do anything to protect me as a seller or help me in anyway and their communication is crap,had to keep phoning them all the time…never again will i use paypal…

paypal never goes against any decision made by the credit card companies. that would put paypal out of business. paypal also don’t give a crap about sellers. you did the right thing by never using paypal again but be sure to close any bank account you had linked to your paypal account and report any credit card that was linked as lost or stolen because paypal keeps this info forever!
