Anything you want on Ebay FREE, courtesy of PayPal

Twice now PayPal has helped an ebay buyer rip me off, giving them free merchandise.

The first time, about three years ago, a guy in L.A. bought a Warn winch from me and paid with PayPal.  After recieving the winch he claimed it was an unauthorized use of his credit card, Ebay account and password, as well as his PayPal account and password. The merchandise shipped to HIS ADDRESS! PayPal still froze the money in my account and gave the guy a full refund, and he got to keep the winch. . FREE.

Now, just this month a guy buys a truck from me and wants to pay with PayPal. He says he will add a little to help cover the PayPal fees, and against my better judgement I let him do it. However, I immediately withdrew the funds from my PayPal account  just in case.  Sure enough, he files a dispute with PayPal saying the truck had all sorts of damage.  I never claimed a 25 year old truck was brand new but this one was very nice. . I have lots of photos showing the truck to be in near perfect condition, and I tried many times to send PayPal the photos.  But their system will not accept anything except your initial responce to a dispute, which does not accept photos.

PayPal didn’t care what I had to say and decided in his favor.  They tried to get money from my account (which was empty) and then from my bank account (which I also emptied), and are now trying to get me to send them the money- However, they are not requiring the buyer to return the truck!

I know this does not sound right but sometimes the only way you can fight a corrupt business is to be a bit corrupt in return.  Most of them actually expect it, and compensate for it in their fees.

Ebay and PayPal apparently require all cases to be rewarded to the buyers.  So what it amounts to is you can have anything you wnt on ebay FREE.

All you have to do is (1) Say it was unauthorized, (2) Say it never arrived, (3) Say it is damaged, or (4) Say it is not as described.
